Clarissa Jenkins began taking piano lessons at age 4 and was playing for her church at age 9. At age 16, she stopped playing to begin singing & directing the choir. From there, she developed a love for singing and carved out her own personal style while living abroad in Italy. She has sung under the direction of Olanda Draper & alongside James Moore and Bobby Jones. She credits much of her musical inspiration to Steve Perry of Journey, Luther Vandross,Israel Houghton, Andre Crouch and The Clark Sisters.
