Barbara Lenell Jernigan-Halliburton sang her first solo while in junior high school. While at Indiana University, she spent 1 year in a performing class with dramatic opera soprano, Angela M. Brown as vocal coach. She has recorded with Chris & Kyle with True Spirit, under project advisor, singer/songwriter Donald Lawrence & sang alongside Bobby Jones, Rodnie Bryant, and Richard Odom, former director of the Tri-City Singers. Her musical influences include Earnest Pugh, Lisa Knowles, Sam Cook, Prince, & Fantasia.
